Walletii Loyalty Program - Terms and Conditions

The walletii Loyalty Program rewards customers for their engagement within the walletii app. It is available to all eligible walletii customers who join the program under the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility and Process 

• All walletii customers registered and verified are eligible to join the loyalty program.
• The customer must be registered and successfully verified.
• Customers must manually enroll in the program by tapping the “Join our loyalty program” button on the walletii homepage. By clicking to enroll in the Loyalty Program through the walletii app, customers shall be deemed to have read, understood, accepted, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any future amendments thereto. walletii reserves the right to verify eligibility and reserves the right to suspend, or revoke participation where misuse, fraud, regulatory concerns, or violations of these Terms and Conditions arise.
• Each customer may hold only one walletii loyalty membership linked to their verified walletii account. walletii may merge, suspend or close duplicate memberships and adjust walletii Points accordingly, acting reasonably and subject to applicable law.

Earning and Using Points 

1. Earning Points 

• Customers earn walletii points for completing transactions for the following eligible services:

• walletii Points are awarded only on the eligible spend amount of a qualifying transaction.
• For the purposes of these general terms and conditions for the loyalty program, “eligible spend amount” means the amount paid by the customer for an eligible transaction, excluding any applicable taxes, including value added tax (VAT), and excluding any fees, charges, levies, surcharges, reversals, refunds, chargebacks, discounts, promotional deductions or other amounts that walletii specifies from time to time as ineligible.
• Where a transaction amount includes applicable tax, walletii will calculate walletii Points solely on the transaction value net of that tax.
• No walletii Points will be awarded in respect of any tax amount, including VAT, paid or charged in connection with a transaction.
• The earning structure outlined above is valid until 30 of September and may be amended, replaced, or withdrawn by walletii at its sole discretion thereafter.
• Walletii reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to modify earning rates, introduce, extend, or withdraw promotional campaigns, or revise the points allocation structure, whether on a permanent or time-limited basis
• Welcome Points: Customers receive 500 walletii points upon successful registration and opt in. Awarded once per customer. Invite Friends: Customers receive 250 walletii points and 1 OMR for each successful referral, awarded after the referred customer completes the qualifying transaction. Terms and conditions apply.
• Excluded Transactions: International remittance transactions, cross-border money transfers, and any related international transfer services are expressly excluded from the Loyalty Program and shall not qualify for the earning of walletii points, cashback, rewards, referral benefits, or any promotional incentives, whether directly or indirectly.
• Referral rewards shall not apply to international remittance transactions, and cross-border transfers.
• Walletii reserves the right to determine, classify, and exclude any transaction category from eligibility where required for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, Central Bank of Oman requirements, or internal compliance policies.
• walletii Points are generally credited after the successful completion of a qualifying transaction as recognised in walletii’s systems. walletii may delay or withhold crediting points where a transaction is pending, reversed, disputed or under investigation.

2. Using Points

• Customers can redeem points by converting them to money in their walletii account, under the following conditions: 
  1. Conversion Rate: 1,000 points = 1 OMR. 
  2. Minimum Redemption: 1,000 points. 
  3. Points Redemption Rules: Customer can only redeem points in multiples of 1,000. For example, 1,000 points = 1 OMR, and 2,000 points = 2 OMR.
• When redeemed, walletii Points are converted into OMR and credited only to the same customer’s verified walletii account. Redemption does not permit transfer of funds or points to another walletii account.

Point Validity and Expiry Terms

1. Validity Period: walletii points are valid from the date they are earned until 31 December of the immediately following calendar year.
2. Expiration Policy: All walletii points earned during a calendar year will expire at 11:59 p.m. on 31 December of the following calendar year, unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated in a specific promotion.  
   
   • Example: Points earned at any time between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2026 will expire on 31 December 2027. Accordingly, points earned in January 2026 will have a longer effective validity period than points earned in December 2026, although both expire on the same date.
   • Points earned in April 2026 will expire on December 31, 2027.
3. Account Closure: 
   
   • Where a Customer requests closure of their walletii account, the Customer must redeem all available Loyalty Points before the account is closed. Any Loyalty Points that remain unredeemed at the effective time of closure shall expire automatically, be permanently cancelled and shall not be reinstated, transferred, converted or otherwise recovered, except where required by Applicable Law. 
   • walletii may immediately suspend or close an account, and cancel any associated Loyalty Points, where this is reasonably necessary to comply with Applicable Law, a direction of a competent authority or the Central Bank of Oman, or where walletii reasonably determines that the Customer has engaged in fraud, attempted fraud, misuse, manipulation of the Loyalty Programme, breach of these Terms, provision of false or misleading information, or other unlawful or prohibited conduct. Any such action shall be without prejudice to walletii’s rights under Applicable Law.
   • On the effective date of account closure, all Loyalty Points not validly redeemed in accordance with Clause 3.1, or 3.2 shall expire automatically and permanently. Loyalty Points are personal to the Customer, are not transferable, may not be sold or exchanged except through the redemption options expressly made available by walletii, and do not constitute a deposit, electronic money, customer funds, or a right to cash except to the extent expressly provided under the Loyalty Programme.

Program Limitations 

• walletii Points are personal to the eligible Customer and linked exclusively to that Customer’s verified walletii account. walletii Points may not be sold, transferred, assigned, gifted, donated, exchanged, pooled, inherited, pledged, encumbered or otherwise made available, directly or indirectly, to or for the benefit of any other person or walletii account.

Program Fraud Prevention

• The walletii team will monitor the program to prevent abuse and ensure compliance with the terms.
• Any fraudulent behavior, manipulation, misuse of walletii services, or violations of applicable laws and regulations may result in the forfeiture of points, suspension of the customer’s walletii account, disqualification from the Loyalty Program, and potential legal action.
• Walletii’s determination regarding fraudulent, abusive, suspicious, or non-compliant conduct shall be final, subject to applicable law

Program Modification and Termination

• walletii may, at any time and subject to applicable law, modify, suspend or terminate all or any part of the loyalty program where walletii reasonably considers this necessary or appropriate for operational, commercial, legal, regulatory, supervisory, compliance, fraud-prevention, security or program-integrity reasons
• Such modifications may include changes to eligibility requirements; qualifying and excluded transactions; earning and redemption rules; earning rates; points caps; points validity and expiry; redemption options and thresholds; points conversion rates; promotional structures, including time-limited campaigns; and any other feature or condition of the loyalty program.
• walletii will notify customers of any material modification, suspension or termination through the walletii app, the walletii website, email, SMS, push notification or another electronic communication channel made available to the customer. Unless walletii specifies otherwise in the notice, a modification will take effect on the date on which notice is given.
• A customer who does not agree to a material modification may opt out of continued participation in the loyalty program by following the process set out in the relevant notice or by contacting walletii customer support. Opting out will prevent the customer from earning new walletii Points from the effective date of the opt-out. The customer may redeem walletii Points validly earned before the opt-out date.
• walletii may make immediate changes, suspend or terminate the loyalty program, or restrict a customer’s participation, without prior notice where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a regulatory or supervisory requirement, a direction of a competent authority, fraud prevention, security, or the protection of walletii, its customers or the integrity of the loyalty program.
• Nothing in this clause limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under the laws of the Sultanate of Oman or applicable Central Bank of Oman requirements.

Compliance with Local Laws  and  Regulations

• This loyalty program is regulated in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman and the regulations of the Central Bank of Oman.
• International remittance transactions and cross-border transfer services are excluded from the Loyalty Program in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and restrictions.
• Walletii may amend, restrict, suspend, or terminate any aspect of the Loyalty Program where required to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, supervisory, or compliance obligations.
• Any regulatory changes affecting the program will be implemented as required and will take effect from the date specified in the relevant regulatory instrument or walletii notice. Customers will be bound by the revised rules from that effective date, subject to any non-excludable rights under applicable law.

Liability Limitation

• walletii will use reasonable care and reasonable efforts to calculate, credit and process the redemption of walletii points accurately and in accordance with the loyalty program terms.
• The availability and processing of the loyalty program may be affected by maintenance, system upgrades, telecommunications failures, third-party service-provider interruptions, payment-network disruptions, cyber incidents, events of force majeure, or other circumstances outside walletii’s reasonable control. Where reasonably practicable, walletii will notify affected customers of a material interruption and take reasonable steps to restore the affected service or correct any verified error.
• If walletii identifies an error in the calculation, crediting, deduction or redemption of walletii Points, walletii may investigate the error and make an appropriate correction to the relevant customer’s points balance or redemption, provided that walletii will not deduct points or reverse a redemption without a reasonable basis and, where practicable, prior notice to the affected customer.
• Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or limits any liability, obligation, consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or limited under the laws of the Sultanate of Oman or applicable Central Bank of Oman requirements.

Acceptance of Terms 

• By joining the walletii Loyalty Program, customers agree to abide by these terms and conditions, as well as any future amendments made by the walletii team as outlined herein.

Complaints and Contact Details

• Customers may contact walletii customer support through the walletii app or website to raise complaints or request information about the loyalty program. Complaints will be handled in accordance with walletii’s complaints-handling procedures and applicable Central Bank of Oman requirements.

Governing Law / Jurisdiction

• This loyalty program and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman and subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Oman, without prejudice to any dispute-resolution procedures required by the Central Bank of Oman.
