Invite friends – Referral terms and conditions

The ‘Invite friends’ referral program is available to all registered customers of the walletii app and is offered under the following terms and conditions:

1. Program eligibility

‍

• All walletii app customers will be assigned a unique referral code. This code can be shared with friends, family, or other contacts.
• The 'Invite friends' program is only applicable to referred customers that are new customers, meaning individuals who have not previously registered on the walletii app.
• walletii reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine whether a customer qualifies as a legitimate new customer.
• Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, accounts linked to the same individual, device, mobile number, IP address, or payment instrument shall not qualify for rewards.
• Only active accounts that have successfully completed all compliance requirements shall be eligible to participate.

2. Reward structure

‍

• A reward of 1 OMR in app credit may be granted subject to walletii verification, compliance review, and final approval for each successful referral made by sharing the unique referral code.  
• A referral is considered successful when the referred customer is a new customer and within the first 60 days of signing up:
  • Registers on the walletii app and completes the registration process, including any required identity verifications.
  • Enters the unique referral code in the designated section of the app.
  • Makes one successful eligible outgoing payment (i.e. local transfer, merchant payment or pre/postpaid bill payment or recharge). The reward is triggered upon this action.
  • Transactions that are cancelled, refunded, reversed, disputed, or deemed non-genuine shall not qualify.
  • walletii may exclude certain transaction types from eligibility at its sole discretion.
  • walletii reserves the right to define minimum transaction thresholds and eligible transaction categories.

3. Reward conditions

‍

• New referred customers can enter the referral code only within the first 60 days of signing up.
• Rewards may be credited following successful verification and approval by walletii upon the referred customer’s first successful eligible outgoing payment (i.e. local transfer, merchant payment or pre/postpaid bill payment or recharge).
• Walletii reserves the right to review or delay reward credits in case of technical issues or for any necessary verifications. Walletii will not be held liable for any delays in processing rewards.
• Each customer may receive multiple rewards, however walletii reserves the right to impose limits on the number of referrals rewards a single customer can earn.
• walletii may delay, withhold, cancel, reverse, or reclaim rewards in cases involving fraud, abuse, suspicious activity, technical errors, regulatory concerns, or violations of these Terms.
• Rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and have no cash value unless expressly permitted by walletii.
• walletii reserves the right to impose referral limits, cooling periods, or additional eligibility criteria at any time.

4. Referral code validity

‍

• Referral codes are subject to validity rules, including but not limited to the expiration of referral links, time frames for code usage, and any specific conditions that may be set out in these Referral Terms and Conditions or on the walletii website from time to time.
• walletii may deactivate, invalidate, suspend, or reject referral codes at any time without prior notice.
• Referral codes remain the property of walletii and may not be sold, advertised commercially, or distributed through unauthorized channels.

5. Fraud prevention

‍

• The walletii team will monitor the services to prevent abuse and ensure compliance with the terms of the program.
• Any fraudulent behavior, manipulation, or misuse of any of walletii services will result in the suspension or termination of the customer’s walletii account and potential legal actions.
• walletii may investigate any activity it reasonably considers fraudulent, abusive, suspicious, misleading, unlawful, or inconsistent with the intended purpose of the program.
• walletii reserves the right to suspend accounts, freeze rewards, reverse transactions, deny participation, or report activities to competent authorities where required.
• The use of bots, automation tools, fake identities, manipulated devices, artificial transactions, or other abusive practices is strictly prohibited.

6. Modification and termination

‍

• Walletii may modify, suspend, discontinue, or terminate the program, in whole or in part, at any time and without liability.
• Walletii may also change the eligibility criteria, reward structure, or any other aspect of the invite friends' program as deemed necessary.
• Walletii shall not be liable for any loss of pending, accrued, or expected rewards resulting from program modifications or termination.
• Continued participation in the program following publication of amended terms constitutes acceptance of such amendments.

7. Compliance with local laws and regulations

‍

• This 'Invite friends' referral program is regulated in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman and the regulations of the Central Bank of Oman. Any changes in these laws and regulations that impact the 'Invite friends' program will be implemented immediately, and all customers will be bound by the revised rules.
• walletii may take any action necessary to comply with directives issued by the Central Bank of Oman or other competent authorities.

8. Liability limitation

‍

• Walletii will make every reasonable effort to credit rewards promptly upon the successful referral. However, walletii is not liable for any delays, technical issues, or circumstances beyond its control that may affect the processing of rewards.
• Walletii does not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the program.
• Walletii’s total liability arising from the program shall not exceed the value of the applicable referral reward.

9. Acceptance of terms

‍

• By participating in the 'invite friends' program, customers acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions as well as any future updates or amendments made by walletii.
• These terms and conditions apply in addition to our standard walletii Customer terms.
• Participation in the program, use of a referral code, or receipt of any referral benefit constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

‍

• These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. The courts of Oman shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from the program.

11. Severability

• If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
